I was cleaning out some boxes in the basement, and found this oldie. I’m not 100% sure on the age, but from a quick search, it looks like it’s from 1963. Pretty cool little Tonka, with the lever that sets the bed locked upright. Overall, it’s in pretty remarkable shape.

How much lead do you think is in it?

That’s awesome. Let me know if you decide it needs a new home…

You should mail that to Just Jeepin’. I was going to say you should mail it to me, which you really should , but Just Jeepin’ deserves it more than I do.

I’ll admit, you popped to mind when I pulled it out of the box. This must not have been played with at all, there’s not a single scratch in the bed...and the decals are perfectly intact. Cool little truck!

That’s pretty cool. I found this at my parents’ house. It was still in the box, but isn’t perfect. I gave it to my son. Chevrolet I think. Probably early 70s.

I got nothing but love for you, Brother. Nothing but love.

I had one just like it, circa 1973... it wasn’t in pristine condition more than a day or two and it had rusted completely away by 1979, like a proper jeep was designed to do. Thanks for the memories

That’s pretty cool, I have the cement mixer version and it as well has the lever to make the rear tilt back the same way.
